Education Intern - POSITION FILLED
Frick Collection
The intern will be responsible for researching outreach opportunities to inform the public about Frick education programs. The intern will compile new outreach lists and organize contact information. They will also investigate the various methods and preferred ways to make contact. The intern will prepare and send information about Frick education programs to the contacts on these outreach lists.
This project will help the student gain a broad understanding of how an institution seeks to connect with the public. The intern will have the opportunity to learn about education programs during an exciting time at the Frick, as new programs are planned and established programs grow. The intern will learn about the importance of museum communication to the public.
The intern will be a qualified undergraduate pursuing a degree in art history, art education, arts administration, museum studies, or another relevant area. The student will be dependable and responsible, and needs to demonstrate a strong work ethic and self-motivation. Excellent research, writing, communication, and computer skills are required. Availability and flexibility are important as the intern may be asked to attend evening and weekend programs on occasion.
